Brewing Good Coffee Company
Small-batch roaster’s fair trade, organic coffee and tea at local grocers and online. Convenient subscriptions available for home and office delivery! Percentage of proceeds donated to animal protection nonprofits.
The shop is 100% vegan. Fresh house-made pastry and sandwiches every day (Wednesday-Sunday). Donuts from Donut Run every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays only). Also featuring a selection of beer, wine, and cocktail specials.

We are a group of food & drink savvy guys with over thirty collective years in the restaurant business, taking a shot at owning & running a full-service bar & restaurant…and doing it our way, meaning extending to the public the same quality product & service that we ourselves have come to appreciate during our years of working in the service industry.

Elle + Emma’s is a luxury bakery and cake studio located in the Savage Mill in Savage, Maryland. We offer a curated selection of desserts, including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats available for walk-in and short-notice pickup. Our signature cake case features beautifully decorated cakes for those moments when you need something special without the wait of a fully custom order. For birthdays, showers, anniversaries, graduations, corporate events, and other celebrations, we create luxury custom cakes and elegant wedding cakes designed to make every occasion memorable. As a family, we have always loved being able to enjoy fresh vibrant and great tasting foods. However, what we discovered was how hard it was to actually find this combination along with a warm inviting atmosphere to enjoy it in.
So we created our own.

ROGGENART European Bakery Bistro and Café
Roggenart offers an innovative and unique hospitality experience that blends three distinct dining environments—an authentic European bakery, a bistro, and a café. This conceptual and presentational fusion brings together the charm of a traditional European bakery, featuring freshly baked pastries, quiches, and an assortment of dessert items, with the inviting atmosphere of a cozy café.
For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Roggenart’s bistro serves a wide variety of fresh artisan sandwiches, hot cast-iron pressed sandwiches, oven-baked melts, and delicious soups and salads. To complete this culinary experience, Roggenart also features a full espresso bar, offering dozens of specialty espresso and latte options made with the finest premium Italian coffee.
At its core, Roggenart strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment where guests can feel at home — finding moments of comfort and relaxation amid their busy days.
Sweet Cascades Chocolatier
Sweet Cascades was created by Sue Whary in 2004 as a chocolate fountain catering company. While catering wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs and other events part time, she discovered the love and addiction of chocolate of many of the guests. (Sue is a salty girl!) So, with the support of her husband, Rick, she left her well-paying, great benefits desk job, and opened a chocolate shop in Historic Ellicott City, Maryland, Sweet Cascades Chocolatier.
Sue is self-taught, always reading and looking for new trends and flavors. Rick has become a huge part of the business, with his weird and wacky chocolates. Sweet Cascades is continuing to grow and create new and different creations for our customers, while keeping the traditional and favorites.
The Blind Pig Tavern
The Blind Pig Tavern is a modern-day Speakeasy. The cozy, dimly-lit atmosphere offers Lounge, Dining, Pub, and Bar seating. The original brick walls and wood panels give an authentic era vibe in the lower level of the Historic Savage Mill. The Blind Pig menu heavily features sharable flatbreads and small plates along with a range of decedent pasta dishes and oversized sandwiches. The bar offerings are heavily focused on craft cocktails, local craft beers, and an expansive selection of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch.

Offering new and gently-used donated children’s clothing and goods at reasonable prices, this new enterprise of @successinstyle contributes to its nonprofit mission of providing support and dignity to individuals in crisis. Stop by to check out the adorable clothing for little ones. Donations are accepted every Saturday.

Happy Fall Equinox! The damp weather today makes our Modirondack chairs less inviting than usual, but we found this view with the perennial grasses moodily striking.
Inside the Mill, tenants are preparing for the change of seasons. Jeanine with @ancestorsbosom recommends her herbal extract "Joy" as a beautiful ally for the transition into the darker months. During Black History Month, our community came together with Leona`s Sewing Studio to design a quilt using African print fabrics. Now, in celebration of @nationalsewingmonth it’s time to bring that design to life.
Join Leona`s Sewing Studio at Savage Mill on September 27 for a hands on session where you’ll help sew the individual squares together and complete the community quilt.

A little Mill maintenance!
Savage Mill will be closed Monday, August 31 while we take care of an important repair to our main water system. We’ll be back open and ready to go on Tuesday, September 1st during regular hours.
