Blossoms of Hope Countywide Art Show: Savage Mill
Savage Mill 8600 Foundry St, Savage, MDWorks by artists focusing on the theme of pink and white blossoms are being displayed in a county-wide art show held throughout Howard County during March 2025. Savage Mill is a participating location, along with private art galleries, the Visit Howard County Welcome Center, Howard County libraries, the North Laurel Community Center, Robinson Nature Center, and Howard Community College. This inaugural art project embodies two of Blossoms of Hope's missions: beautifying and engaging our community. Blossoms of Hope has planted more than 2,900 pink-blossoming trees in Howard County (Kwanzan cherry, redbuds and Native Dogwood), with plans to add an additional 600 by Spring 2025 (Blossoms' 20th anniversary). That number equals the number of white-blossoming cherry trees at the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. Entries feature a variety of media, including canvas, sculpture, fiber arts, quilts, jewelry, photography, paper, basketweave, and glass art. Many pieces are also available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Blossoms of Hope.
